The founder and principal of Industrial Trademark is Russ Pollman. Whether it’s a fold in a piece of paper or a detailed molded component, Russ exhibits a passion for bringing innovative designs to the marketplace. Authoring and illustrating over 28 patents, 10 patents granted, 4 in the queue of the Patent and Trademark Office, 9 with patent pending status, and the rest in development, Russ has been on the mark combining the utilitarian and design features that delight the user. As the son of an Aerospace Engineer that put man on the moon, Russ was inspired to follow those footsteps choosing a career in Industrial Engineering with Manufacturing as an emphasis. Completing his degree and working in the disciplined Aerospace industry for 5+ years, the recession in 1991 was perfect timing for a new career direction. Realizing he liked the look of calculus equations more than the results, Russ discovered Industrial Design was his true passion. Pursuing studies in Industrial Design, he forged an agreement with himself never to accept a position that had no creative outlets. Before obtaining his ID degree, he assisted a prominent Industrial Designer, designed & built Cabrillo Marine Museum displays (focused on the handicapped), and designed and engineered high-end furniture with Beverly Furniture. He also consulted with 2 aerospace firms for their Total Quality Systems and 2 independent businesses for branding and product. His professors didn’t appreciate the “dilution of his studies,” but Russ didn’t want to let school stand in the way of his education. As a Creative Consultant for Castrol, WD-40, Leapfrog, Herman Miller, ACCO, 3M, Ampad, Esselte, Russ' straight forward expertise is laced with humor & wit: the natural and memorable way to interpret a customer's voice and habits. With a consistent and unwavering reputation, Russ maintains an army of resources for businesses, large and small.
